At Beyond Words Speech Therapy, we are a neurodiversity-affirming, child-centered pediatric speech therapy clinic dedicated to helping children build communication skills in ways that honor who they are. We specialize in speech sound disorders, receptive and expressive language development, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). Using evidence-based research and individualized treatment approaches, we create indivualized treatment plans that meets each child where they are and supports their unique communication journey.

We believe strong partnerships with families are essential for meaningful progress. Through transparency, open communication, and collaboration, we work together with caregivers to develop goals and strategies that support communication across everyday activities and environments.

Meet Your SLP

Hi! I’m Erin Martin, M.S., CCC-SLP, and I am the owner of Beyond Words Speech Therapy. I have been practicing as a Speech-Language Pathologist for eight years and am passionate about helping children find their voice and communicate in ways that are meaningful to them.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Human Development from Washington State University and went on to complete my master’s degree in Communication Disorders at Eastern Washington University. I hold my Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and maintain state licensure in both Washington and Tennessee.

I believe every child deserves to be heard, understood, and supported. Communication is a fundamental right, and every child should have access to the communication method that best meets their individual needs—whether through speech, signs, gestures, AAC, or other modalities. My goal is to support your child’s communication development, build their confidence, and partner with families throughout their journey.

I have a strong passion for working with children of all abilities, with specialized experience supporting children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), speech sound disorders, receptive-expressive language needs, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). I have experience working with both neurotypical and neurodivergent children across a variety of settings, including inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient pediatric clinics, and school-based programs (both in-person and teletherapy).
